Is Banking Down? Check Status

1 of 80 banking sites reporting issues

79 responding normally · 1 not responding · checked within the last hour.

When online banking goes down, bills don't get paid and transfers stall. We monitor the largest retail banks, neobanks, and payment apps in real time, with an uptime record that reaches back 30 days. Use these status pages to confirm whether a login failure or a declined transaction is your bank's system or something local.

Banking outages divide cleanly into two types: scheduled maintenance (usually weekend overnight windows) and unplanned incidents (often payment processor or core-banking-system failures). The scheduled type is usually announced; the unplanned type is what shows up here red. When a bank's status page is unreachable AND user reports are spiking, you're usually looking at a serious incident — banks rarely report their own outages quickly. Mobile-app outages and web-portal outages are tracked separately because they often fail independently; if mobile shows red but web shows green, login via desktop and you'll typically still complete the transaction.

About Banking status monitoring

We monitor 80 banking websites every 60 seconds using automated HTTPS probes from US-based servers. Each check records the HTTP status code, response time, and DNS resolution status. When two consecutive checks fail — or crowd-sourced user reports spike above 5x the 7-day baseline — an outage event is triggered automatically.

Banking services are among the largest categories in our 2,700+ site catalog. Common outage patterns in this category include DNS-level failures during provider migrations, CDN edge-node issues affecting specific regions, and application-layer errors during peak traffic. Our dual-signal detection catches all three.

How to use this page

The grid above shows every banking site we track with live status indicators. Green means the site responded normally on our last check. Red means our probes detected a failure. Click any site to see its full status page with 24-hour response time chart, uptime statistics, crowd reports, and recent incident history.

For cross-category comparisons, see the monthly outage reports which rank all sites by total downtime. For live alerts, the outages feed shows every currently active incident across all categories. Individual incident details are available in the incident archive.
